Webinar: Theory and Practice of Online Group Psychotherapy

Sunday, March 22, 2020, 8-9:30PM (Eastern) *Please be cognizant of applicable time zones

Haim Weinberg, PhD, CGP, FAGPA

Leading online groups requires specific knowledge and training. When moving from in-person to online groups we face new challenges due to loosen boundaries, the disembodied environment, and the fact that the therapist cannot control the location from which the clients join the group. The main challenge is how to stay emotionally connected, become present, maintain confidentiality, and develop trust online. In this webinar we discuss these issues, explore the obstacles and suggest how to overcome them, describe the dynamics of these groups, consider ethical issues, and explain the implications for online group therapy.

Participation for members is free. Participation for nonmembers is .00. 1.5 CE credits are available at for members or .00 for nonmembers.
