Angelo Ciliberti, PsyD,

Dr. Angelo Ciliberti is a psychotherapist with a private practice in Boulder, CO where he works with adults in combined individual and in group treatment. Dr. Ciliberti’s clinical approach is informed by his interest in the unconscious as an unending source of creativity and meaning when elaborated through relationships. Drawing on years of training and practice in psycho-analysis and neuroscience, Dr. Ciliberti has published on the topic of group psychotherapy and is a frequent presenter at national conferen-ces, including the AGPA Connect.   An adjunct faculty member of Naropa University for the past 12 years, Dr. Ciliberti also hosts “The Group Dynamic’s Dispatch," a podcast featuring interviews with group leaders from diverse backgrounds and theoretical approaches.

A group pulsing with aliveness infuses everyone involved with a sense of connection and possibility.  Risks are taken and new meanings emerge as members share a wider range of feelings with one another as well as the leader. But what about when this process stalls or stops?  How do we make sense of a group retreating into silent withdrawal or defensive chit-chat?  How do we help a group come back to life? This presentation addresses these questions by exploring common “dead spots” that groups can get mired in and how we as leaders can help the group get unstuck & revitalized.
